Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

The Accounting Integration Specialist serves as the technical expert for all accounting and ERP integrations within BILL’s Spend & Expense product. Reporting to the Solutions Consulting organization but dedicated exclusively to the Spend & Expense Post-Sales teams (CSM and AMA), this role bridges the gap between technical depth and customer impact.

By directly owning integration escalations, driving root-cause resolution with Product and Engineering, and training Post-Sales teams on new syncs and best practices, the Accounting Integration Specialist transforms integration management from reactive support into proactive stability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Ownership
  • Serve as the primary technical owner for all accounting and ERP integrations within Spend & Expense.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex sync, mapping, and data integrity issues affecting customer environments.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to resolve systemic bugs, improve monitoring, and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain deep expertise in NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, and other supported platforms.
  • Understand the debit and credit break out for all payments/transactions for each ERP system
  • Troubleshoot reconciliation issues
  • Work with the sync team to provide feedback and understand the Sync for new features (fees, scheduled payments, card on file, etc.)
Escalation & Resolution
  • Manage direct customer interactions when advanced troubleshooting or live intervention is required.
  • Target <48-hour resolution times for critical sync issues through structured prioritization and proactive communication.
  • Document root causes, solutions, and best practices to create internal consistency and faster future responses.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
  • Partner with CSM, AMA, and Support leadership to streamline routing and handoff processes.
  • Develop and maintain a unified knowledge base and internal documentation library for integration troubleshooting.
  • Conduct RCAs for major incidents, collaborating with Product to embed preventive improvements into future releases.
  • Provide structured feedback loops to Engineering and Product to strengthen integration design and customer reliability.
Training & Enablement
  • Conduct regular enablement sessions for Post-Sales teams to strengthen their integration fluency and troubleshooting skills.
  • Build clear, digestible guides on new integrations, updates, and known edge cases.
  • Partner with Solutions Consulting and Account Executives for integration-specific demo support when needed.
Reporting & Insights
  • Track and analyze integration volume, resolution time, and customer satisfaction to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Present quarterly readouts to Solutions Consulting, Post-Sales leadership, Product & Engineering on key metrics and progress.
  • Quantify the ROI of integration improvements (e.g., reclaimed CSM time, reduction in churn risk, increased expansion velocity).

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 2+ years in technical implementations, migrations, or ERP/accounting system integrations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ERP and accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Proven success troubleshooting SaaS integrations or APIs, ideally in fintech or spend/expense environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical details into business impact.
  • Strong communicator skilled at partnering across Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data mapping, and/or SQL preferred.
