Accounting Clerk
Hybrid Schedule 3/2
Checks and verifies banking & accounting transactions & records. Prepares invoices and vouchers; types; files; posts ledger and general journal entries. Reconciles banking and general ledger accounts. Uses office-automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects, and respond to inquiries. Maintains a complete and systematic set of transactions and recordkeeping for a full-cylce Cash Management function.
Regular Duties
Post daily incoming cash
Resolve reconciling issues between incoming customer receipts and customer invoices
Post journal entries for miscellaneous banking transactions
Post monthly intercompany Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
Post bi-weekly Payroll
Post bi-weekly expense reimbursements
Post monthly expense accruals
Prepare monthly cash reports
Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly for 3 legal entities
Verify supplier banking information as needed
Facilitate ad hoc expense reporting requests
Assist with audit requests bi-annually
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar discipline); or
Associate’s Degree with 4 years of related experience; or
High School Diploma with 8 years of related experience
Other Qualifications
Accuracy/attention to detail is a must
Dependability around strict daily cash duties is a must
Ability to organize and prioritize work to complete assigned tasks on schedule
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong communication skills
SAP ERP experience preferred
SAP Concur experience preferred
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
