Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.

In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.

Requirements

Must be a Namibian citizen;
Persons with disabilities and individuals from previously disadvantaged designated groups are strongly encouraged to apply;
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
Candidates must have 2–3 years of relevant experience;
Strong accounting processing experience in Pastel is a key requirement;
Ability to process client information accurately;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks;
Experience in CaseWare will be an advantage;
Competent in the use of Microsoft office product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI).

Duties

Performing annual accounting work and preparing accounting files for financial statements of various clients;
Calculate and submit VAT and Import VAT returns on behalf of clients;
Perform general accounting functions;
Write up clients’ books of account up to trial balance using Pastel; and
Preparation of annual financial statements from trial balance in CaseWare.
