As an Accounting Analyst (Sr/Consultant), you will play a crucial role in providing expertise, leadership, and mentorship on accounting and financial matters that impact management decision‑making and external financial reporting. Responsibilities/Expectations:
Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers with guidance only in sophisticated situations
Provides and reviews requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
Leads complex projects to achieve landmarks and objectives; looks for innovative solutions and develops strategy for project execution and leads resource requirements
Processes significant amounts of data and transactions including critical and confidential aspects of accounting
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting focus
Senior Analyst: Minimum six (6) years of accounting experience in the energy industry
Consultant: Minimum eight (8) years of accounting experience in the energy industry
Preferred: CPA and/or experience with data analytics or accounting automation
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to understand and work with sophisticated processes and accounting systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial skills
Previous experience collaborating with senior leadership and reporting financial analysis Preferred: Ability to research, apply and consult on appropriate US GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles)

A Day in the Life - Accounting Research
In this role, you will support high-impact, non-routine accounting matters that are visible across the organization. Responsibilities may include researching and documenting accounting conclusions for unique transactions, advising on transaction structuring and deal evaluation in partnership with finance and business teams, and coordinating support for audit and external reporting deliverables.
You will be a key partner in applying U.S. GAAP in areas that require careful interpretation and well-supported judgment, helping stakeholders evaluate alternatives, align on a position, and clearly document the rationale. Engagements may span acquisitions, joint ventures, adoption of new accounting standards, and other complex transactions—well-suited for an individual who can translate technical guidance into practical, business-focused recommendations.
