Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Accounting Analyst to join our Global Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end (E2E) accounting process for Perpetual Use and Maintenance Vouchers (PUMVs). You'll be partnering closely with the Global/Corporate Accounting team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and other Functional Support Groups to drive accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1: Manage Core Financial Processes - Take care of the E2E revenue accounting for PUMVs, including preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations, and deep-diving on historical reconciliations to identify process improvements.
Responsibility 2: Collaborate and Resolve Complex Issues - Act as the key liaison between onshore accounting teams and local Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)/business/external audit teams to resolve complex accounting issues and achieve accurate financial outcomes.
Responsibility 3: Ensure Governance and Compliance - Perform and monitor Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) or SOX-lite controls compliance, ensuring strict adherence to finance policies and procedures, and supporting both internal and external audits.
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ of experience in accounting, with a focus on revenue recognition or complex reconciliations.
Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and financial systems strategy implementation.
Proven ability in data analysis, stakeholder management, and problem-solving for resolving complex accounting discrepancies.
