Information about the position 

Vinted’s Finance team provides transparent and high-quality overseeing of financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth. To keep up with the rapid advancement and increasing complexity of our financial operations, the finance department is looking for a new member.

We are looking for an Accountant who will be part of the Accounts Payable team and will specialise in various tasks and maintaining financial records by ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Also maintain communication with our internal and external stakeholders.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Manage and book incoming invoices from vendors, ensure invoices are booked to appropriate expense accounts;
  • Manage vendor and internal partners inquiries about payable invoices;
  • Review employee submitted expenses;
  • Apply VAT and Tax codes according to the tax laws;
  • Take part in AP month close procedure, ensuring required expenses are accrued;
  • Assist with general ledger accounting;
  • Assist in setting up accounting system automations;
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate process development;
  • Will have an opportunity to contribute to various Finance projects;
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s key accounting policies, procedures and internal controls;
  • Participate in group audits and manage audit materials;
  • Work closely with the accounting team, vendors and other finance team members.

About you 

  • Have a higher degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting;
  • Have relevant accounting experience;
  • Understand basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping;
  • Willing to learn more about accounting and tax requirements;
  • Demonstrate high level of ownership and responsibility;
  • Excellent attention to details;
  • Effective time management;
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English (it’s our working language);
  • Proficient user of MS Excel;
  • Curious to work in a dynamic environment;
  • Passionate about technology-driven businesses.
