This position is part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG) Admin Division and will be based in Morrisville, NC.

DESCRIPTION:

What you will do:

  • Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supplementary reporting & analysis
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix, and standard operating procedures; recommend changes to strengthen control environment
  • Assist in the preparation of annual supplemental & tax reporting packages; prepare ad hoc reports
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Exercise sound data stewardship, following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies
  • Listen proactively and collaborate across functional lines
  • Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows


REQUIREMENTS:

How you will get here:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a large multinational organization or shared services environment


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial accounting standards, and internal controls
  • Excellent MS Excel skills; experience with SAP and Hyperion is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to navigate a large, complex, and matrixed financial reporting structure
  • Ability to interact cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders in a global environment
  • Takes personal accountability for decisions and actions
  • Challenges the status quo; proactively drives new insights and solutions to strengthen performance
