About this role: 
Perform multiple countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland) with accounting & finance services. Prepare and support the monthly and year end closing process for Gartner Subsidiaries which consists of account bookings and reconciliations. Assist Finance Manager to develop and manage compliance and controls within local and corporate requirements.
 
What you’ll do: 

  • Perform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain all journal entries including support
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations as assigned
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/ year-end closing
  • Prepare monthly and annual VAT and statutory reports
  • Support to prepare all accounting documents for Statutory Audits and Tax declarations
  • Assist with any other Audit as required
  • Assist with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance
  • Investigate anomalies identified to determine root causes and offer solutions to improve process
  • Drive and support continuous improvement by supporting management initiatives and developing & documenting new processes
  • Execute and/or support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Partner closely with Corporate Controllers Team members globally including, Tax, Treasury, HR, Real Estate, Internal and external Auditors, Regional Business Leaders

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years proven Accounting & Finance experience of a global multi-national organization
  • Strong understanding of Local Accounting Standards GAAP (i.e. Spanish GAAP), good understanding of US GAAP
  • Knowledge of local VAT and Indirect Tax rules
  • Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge.
  • Oracle ERPand EPM experience would be considered as a plus
  • Good working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload
  • Strong ability to collect information from many varied sources and ensure its accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to details
  • Strong initiative and willingness to take on projects in a proactive manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Strong team player; Ability to build strong collaborative internal/external business partnerships
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English; any Nordics language it’s a plus.
