Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a ACCOUNTANT in the REDCOM MA Great Lakes (REDCOM) Comptroller Department , Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command (COMNAVRESFOR).
  • You will perform a variety of reviews, gather and evaluate pertinent data.
  • You will study background material to gain program information to include applicable command regulations and guidelines.
  • You will conduct entrance conferences with management officials at the review site
  • You will perform survey work to identify potential operating problems
  • You will draft reports, identify causative situations and recommend corrective actions.
  • You will coordinate Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) program requirements.
  • You will lead, conduct and participate in financial and functional business process standardization (BPS) and improvement efforts.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: -Experience utilizing accounting principles, internal review practices, techniques and standards. -Experience utilizing analytical/evaluative methods and management techniques to review data inputs, conduct analysis and develop detailed functional user requirements. -Experience coordinating Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) program requirements and efforts in support of Department of Navy (DON) audit readiness goals. -Experience compiling audits and preparing and presenting briefs to senior leadership.
