The anticipated salary range for this position is $120-130K plus 15% bonus eligible.  The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

The Program Manager oversees the production of multiple and often simultaneous business critical, and customer-facing projects led by individual project managers on the team.  The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining defined project management processes through the project stages (Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing). This will include project plan formats, templates, and KPIs as well as working cross-functionally on key handoff documents to streamline internal processes as well as external/customer facing processes and improvements.  The Program Manager will drive consistent, standardized processes that allow for effective project completion on time and within budget.  The Program Manager will work with leaders to ensure the company’s strategic goals and objectives are met and enhanced through use of the tools, templates and processes that are developed and that key processes are being measured and shared with customer, cross-functional teams and leadership.     

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, develop and enforce project management processes on the team for use across various project types  
  • Lead the development of customer-facing documentation and processes 
  • Lead the development of key metrics and tools for measuring success within the team and as a part of the overall team(s) that are involved in related projects.   
  • Works with leaders to define and prioritize key projects and translates them into actionable, measurable projects/programs  
  • Collaborate with other team leaders on key handoff documents to streamline internal processes 
  •  Develops an understanding of business goals, objectives, and strategies to ensure alignment and prioritization of project/program execution; develops/monitors/reports on KPIs for a variety of projects and teams  
  • Facilitate meetings to provide project status updates, raise and resolve escalations, and drive decision making at senior level  
  • Communicates decisions, direction, issues from governance meetings to the project managers and other appropriate people   
  • Works across businesses and functions to lead projects/programs aligned to business objectives  
  • Listens and responds appropriately to customer and co-worker requests, communicates effectively with clients and team members, to clarify understanding, diffuses tense situations, and delivers information  
  • Works to adjust to client preferences regarding the format and style of consulting activities and reports, and the ability to prepare charts, graphs, and written assessments  
  • Effectively initiates, plans, executes, monitors, and controls, and closes complex projects / programs  
  • Quickly grasps complex issues and drive change  
  • Build relationships and drives project outcomes by getting work done through others  
  • Displays persistent and steadfast focus on long-term objectives despite obstacles, discouragement, or distraction  
  • Other duties as assigned   

Qualifying Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, required 
  • PMP or PMI certification, preferred  
  • Formal training/experience with project management and continuous improvement methodologies, preferred  
  • 9+ years of experience of successfully managing high-profile/complex business projects in a regulated environment (with a preference toward the healthcare or medical device industry) 
  • Successful track record of project management leading cross-functional teams  
  • Experience leading major business projects  
  • Experience using PM tools effectively and consistently  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence at all levels of the organization  
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team member who welcomes challenges  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to seek problem resolution  
  • Manages time and resources effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills  
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite  
  • Analyzes information to make sound business decisions taking prudent business risks as appropriate  
  • Demonstrated data analytics, planning, and organizational skills
