Account Specialist

Labcorp is seeking an Account Specialist to join our Customer Operations team in Burlington, NC. This position will work with internal and external customers to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are addressed in a timely and accurate manner. The Account Specialist position is responsible for performing all account set up requests, facilitating completion of pricing, and monitoring and responding to group purchasing organization price activation requests. The Account Specialist will handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience.

Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
  • Speak with customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using protocol procedures.
  • Submit, monitor, and respond to new account setups and account modification requests.
  • Submit, monitor, and respond to account setup requests from customers.
  • Submit, monitor, and respond to new or additional pricing requests for account setups and pricing and agreement changes.
  • Submit and monitor creation and modifications of account specific pricing strategies.
  • Monitor and respond to price activation requests.
  • Monitor and respond to distributor requests for customer pricing.
  • Monitor and respond to requests for vendor set up from new customers.
  • Inquire, clarify, and confirm customer requirements and understanding of the solution.
  • Submit for approvals and update databases, as appropriate. Confirm completion of all activity and notify appropriate groups (sales, customer service, and customer)
  • Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Perform administrative support for CRM data maintenance and internal records to assure HIPAA compliance.
  • Support manager as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role required; preferably in a call center.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office or hospital is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs is required .
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and/or Oracle and/or Laboratory Information Systems is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond.
  • Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly.
  • Prior experience with ISO/MDSAP quality processes is preferred.
