Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager II, where you'll support revenue growth and contribute to serving science. You'll develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers while promoting our comprehensive portfolio of innovative products and services. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll implement sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and provide excellent support to help customers achieve their goals. This role offers the chance to represent a leader in scientific solutions while contributing to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
The Account Manager is a Techno-commercial Role responsible for promoting and developing GSG business for products such as Sanger sequencer, Next Generation sequencer, and Microarray in the assigned territory of Kerala and part of Karnataka.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve or exceed sales plan by maintaining existing customer business and developing new customers in the assigned territory.
• Work with the technical sales team to establish our products as per client requirements.
• Drive sales activity and generate opportunities covering the assigned territory in part of Karnataka and Kerala, with willingness to travel extensively.
• Develop relationships with key accounts to build positive relationships for growing and expanding business opportunities for the Genetic Sciences Group.
• Deliver bookings and revenues on the Annual Sales Plan in line with the Sales budget defined.
• Be accountable for the commercial performance and growth in the share of wallet of the designated account with product mix performance and innovative solutions.
• Provide quarterly and monthly prospect pipeline and revenue forecast across all business units.
• Collaborate with Internal Support Function teams to develop joint initiatives and provide appropriate customer support to improve customer allegiance scores.
• Prioritize regular reviews with Key Accounts.
• Manage Channel partners effectively; prior experience is preferable.
• Map and report direct and indirect sales in the account.
• Ensure supplies to the account by coordinating with the operations team.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Educational Qualifications: Postgraduate preferably in Science / MBA / Management with 6-8 years of sales experience, preferably in Clinical, Pharma/Biopharma, and Forensic customers is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of compliance and process management.
• Reliable forecasting and modeling capability.
• Strong communication, presentation, and commercial skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter and go-getter who drives actions with passion and serves as a consultant to target accounts.
• Ability to implement account-specific strategic plans.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong territory management and strategic account planning capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for developing effective sales strategies
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
• Ability to travel up to 70% within assigned territory
