Job Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with the company’s important clients. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and developing long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts in the Malaysian market.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their business needs and objectives
• Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and new business development
• Create and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
• Prepare regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and pipeline
• Resolve client issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations in Malaysia
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, account management
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build long-term relationships and influence stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
• Fluent in English, proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin is an advantage
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia
