Job Scope:

Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling Allegion products and /or related services. Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts/customers

Primary Responsibilities:

Financial:

  • With assistance from the marketing team take to market creative, innovative and challenging customer-based solutions that grows revenue and market share across the various platforms 
  • Develop and implement individual business plans to meet yield, revenue and market share budgets; implement sales strategies; take steps to remove barriers and/or correct potential shortfalls in the achievement of objectives
  • Manage and grow existing business through acquisition of new customers
  • Analyses territory potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers

Customer:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with residential builders, all retail merchants including Bunnings, IHG, Natbuild and end users through a consultative selling approach and regular call pattern to achieve annual revenue targets
  • Build strong, productive customer relationships through face to face sales calls and agreed service standards
  • Manage client accounts by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Maintain an awareness of competitors and monitor their activities
  • Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities
  • Conduct client needs analysis to identify ways to grow client spend whilst ensuring client satisfaction
  • Communicate opportunities on strategic sales/marketing issues that impact your territories (channels, pricing, products and promotions) to your Manager.  Ensure timely and accurate completion of sales reports to your Manager.

Operational:

  • Participate in project initiatives as necessary in order to capitalize on opportunities
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on time investment for the territory/segment
  • Keep abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
  • Co-ordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups
  • Ensure customer and prospect records are updated in CRM Tool.

People:

  • Ensure reasonable care for your own safety and that of the environment, including taking care of other workers who may be affected by your acts or omissions at the workplace.
  • Do not carry out work for which you do not have the prescribed qualifications or experience unless carried out under the supervision of a worker who does have the prescribed qualifications or experience.
  • Lead, coach, develop and motivate team members utilizing the appropriate ALLEGION tools and resources, to ensure a high level of performance, delivery and engagement
  • Ensure you and your team (if relevant) understand and behave in alignment with the cultural pillars and social contract

Safety:
