About the Role
The Account Manager IV, Software is responsible for managing assigned accounts and driving revenue growth through strategic account planning and full‑cycle sales execution. This role requires a consultative approach to selling, the ability to navigate complex customer organisations, and close collaboration with internal teams to deliver value‑driven software solutions
Responsibilities
Manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and opportunity identification through to close
Grow revenue through active pipeline development and strategic account planning within assigned accounts
Develop and present solution‑focused proposals for software and services in partnership with internal stakeholders
Build strong customer relationships and work through issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts by tracking pipeline activity and opportunity progression in CRM systems
Execute strategic account plans to expand and deepen relationships within existing customer accounts
Partner with internal teams to resolve customer issues efficiently and protect long‑term account value
Represent the software portfolio at customer meetings, industry events, and speaking engagements as required
Maintain disciplined reporting and sales activity management to support revenue planning and performance tracking
Requirements
University degree, Master or degree in a technical field is advantageous.
Proven experience in full‑cycle software or SaaS sales in research or academic environments, including new business development
Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to operate effectively in complex sales environments
Experience working in a team‑based selling model with internal partners such as solution or technical teams
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with effective use of CRM and forecasting tools
Sales experience at senior levels (minimum of 5 years)
Public sector tender (RFI / RFP) experience
Experience selling enterprise software.
Experienced in working in an international matrixed organisation.
