Ecolab

Account Manager

AUS - New South Wales - Macquarie Park Full time

At Nalco Water Paper, we believe great work happens when people feel supported, empowered, and connected to a bigger purpose. As an industry leader in Paper Process and Water Technology, we’re inviting thoughtful, curious, and relationship‑driven professionals to grow with us as we help protect the world’s most vital resources.

The Role:

Nalco Water Paper, an Ecolab company, is looking for an Account Manager to support customers across Sydney and NSW.

Based in Sydney, this role blends relationship‑focused account management, consultative sales, and technical problem‑solving. You’ll partner closely with our paper customers, truly understanding their needs and helping them succeed through tailored programs, innovative technologies, and ongoing support.

This is a role where trust, collaboration, and care matter just as much as results — and where your work contributes to safer operations, more sustainable outcomes, and long‑term partnerships.

How You’ll Make a Difference:

  • Build and nurture strong, long‑lasting relationships with customers in your portfolio

  • Develop thoughtful account plans that support customer success and mutual growth

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their challenges and create practical, innovative solutions

  • Work with stakeholders at all levels, including site and facility leaders, to deliver meaningful outcomes

  • Provide hands‑on technical and basic maintenance support by investigating issues, interpreting data, and sharing clear, considered recommendations

  • Introduce Nalco Water technologies and innovations in a way that feels supportive, consultative, and value‑driven

What You’ll Bring:

You’re someone who:

  • Enjoys connecting with people and building warm, trusted relationships

  • Approaches challenges with curiosity, empathy, and problem‑solving mindset

  • Is motivated to learn and grow your technical and commercial expertise

  • Works confidently both independently and as part of a supportive team

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality

  • Communicates clearly, thoughtfully, and respectfully

Your Experience & Background:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science or Paper Making

  • Strong analytical thinking and technical curiosity

  • An interest in water treatment, sustainability, or process chemistry

  • Previous experience in water treatment and/or consultative or technical sales (advantageous, not essential)

  • A valid driver’s license

If you meet most, but not all the above, we still encourage you to apply. We value potential and a willingness to learn.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us:

We believe supporting our people enables them to do their best work:

  • Flexible working arrangements that support work‑life balance

  • $250 annual Health & Wellbeing allowance

  • Fully maintained company vehicle

  • Option to purchase additional annual leave, plus MY Days bonus leave

  • Staff product discounts

  • Access to the Ecolab holiday house in Lake Taupo, New Zealand

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
