We are looking for an Account Manager to join the Academic and government Sales Team for West South and North EMEA. This role can be based in the Netherlands, London or Barcelona and report to the Director of Sales for West South and North EMEA.
This is an amazing opportunity to manage all our existing Academia and Government revenue in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and to generate new business from customers and prospects

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5 years of experience in government / Academic market sales (B2B)
It would be great if you also had . . .
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software relevant to the role
Advanced degree in Library Science or related field.
Experience using platforms such as Salesforce.com, Dynamics, HubSpot, Gainsight, etc.
Experience with forecasting and reporting on key sales metrics.
Fluency in additional languages such as Dutch or French is a plus
What will you be doing in this role?
Own the assigned territory and individual account plan coordination, working closely with product specialists, trainers, and renewal teams to develop an overall account plan to grow long term revenue.
Influencing and motivating others in a matrixed sales organization to support and drive towards shared goals.
Focusing on new and renewal business as part of expanding the company's footprint within the account; typically serves as primary point to engage client.
Leading RFP coordination and development as needed; seeking opportunities to unite multiple RFP or current investments and collaborating with product specialists as appropriate.
Managing full portfolio forecast (renewals and new business) including specialty products and content; works closely with product specialist and support teams to ensure forecast accuracy.
Leading content demonstrations, engaging product specialists as appropriate for product-specific demonstrations.
Managing the overall health of the account; coordinating routine checkpoints, handling business reviews, participating in new product roadmap discussions, and engaging in client meetings. Ensuring account plan is making progress and is aligned to other objectives in the account.
Ensuring client satisfaction and issues are resolved; relying on product specialists to drive specialty product issues and working with colleagues in customer services and technical support
About the Team
The Account manager will interact and work with a large team and will work cross-functionally with product sales managers, Renewal account manager, customer success consultant, presales consultant, regional marketing support, product managers and more. The teams you will be working with are located across the EMEA region.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time permanent position based in Netherlands. Also open to Barcelona, Spain.
This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours. Some weekend attendance is required, typically for travel and industry/trade events.
