What you will do
As Account Manager for the NBU Water and Mechanical, you need to serve your existing customers but also identify, investigate and evaluate new growth opportunities to generate incremental revenue, improve profitability and help the business to grow in Benelux region. Develop strong (consultative) relationships with key (distribution) partners, end-users, OEMs and other important players to ensure that our Water and Mechanical products are specified and bought and that you will meet the set (sales) targets. You will identify Water and Mechanical (growth) opportunities in the region, closely aligning with strategic partners and end-users.
Reporting to the Sales & Commercial Leader Benelux you will be responsible for implementing the regional Water and Mechanical strategy and meeting your set targets.
This position will be based in Belgium, but will serve the Belgium, Luxemburg and part of Netherlands.
How will you do it
- As an ambitious Sales Personality with a hunter mentality, you will deliver business goals to ensure continued growth. Using your in-depth knowledge of products, you will drive continuous success for your Area of Responsibility in the Benelux-Region.
- Developing and implementing the Water and Mechanical sales strategy in the region and aligned with the Regional and European strategy.
- Analyzing market opportunities to develop and implement strategies to maximize margins and increased market penetration.
- Be responsible for seeking synergy opportunities across all NBUs, both in terms of processes, tools, systems, shared workforces, cross-selling and upselling.
- Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with (distribution) partners to maintain connection with local market characteristics.
- Driving sales excellence and delivering sales performance across channels .
- Ensuring the pricing policy is in place for each sales channel.
- Forecasting and reporting business sales volumes, as requested frequency.
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Services & Training and other functional groups to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues, competitive trends, and similar.
- Keep abreast of trends and changes in the foam business market.
- Attend seminars, trade shows and industry conferences for educational and customer-oriented purposes
- Professional use of our CRM tool sales force by logging call plans, opportunity follow up, account planning etc.
- You will work as One Team within the Company
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical curriculum is preferable
- Sales personality with strong strategic vision to drive sales growth
- 5-10 years’ experience in sales, preferably in Sprinkler or Foam fire protection systems or in the mechanical business such as HVAC.
- Engineering acumen and strong technical and commercial confidence.
- Functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development and market research is required.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external constituencies including senior level executives, legal, technical, finance, sales, product management and marketing experts
- Superior English, French and Dutch communication skills both verbal and written
- Well-versed in MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Salesforce.com & SAP experience is highly desirable
- Travel up to 75% at times
