Job Summary

The Senior Account Analyst is responsible for the accuracy, consistency, and business usability of enterprise account master data. This role leads day-to-day data stewardship execution, partners closely with finance, commercial, and marketing stakeholders, and serves as the subject matter expert for account segmentation and certification used in enterprise reporting.

This position provides functional leadership for a team of data stewards while remaining hands-on in complex account research and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and certify account hierarchies, parenting, and segmentation, leveraging DUNS hierarchy, NAICS data, and internal business logic.
  • Monitor merger, acquisition, and divestiture activity for key accounts and ensure timely updates to account mappings and hierarchies.
  • Partner with finance, supply chain, commercial, and marketing stakeholders to identify and prioritize refinement of critical account groups.
  • Translate business reporting needs into actionable data stewardship priorities.
  • Perform ad hoc account research and root-cause analysis when reported results do not align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex stewardship issues requiring advanced judgment or business context.
  • Maintain existing segmentation frameworks and develop new segmentation approaches in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including finance reporting reviews and pre-loading of portfolio changeovers.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, master data management, account analytics, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply business rules for account hierarchy and segmentation.
  • Proven experience working directly with finance and commercial stakeholders on reporting-critical data.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate work across team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting financial reporting, commercial analytics, or enterprise account harmonization.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems and how master data impacts downstream reporting.
  • Experience defining or refining data governance and stewardship processes.
  • Comfort working in hybrid technical/business environments.
