Golin

Account Executive - Tech (up to £30k)

London, England, United Kingdom Full Time

About Golin:

Golin is a global public relations agency that helps companies create change that matters. With 50 offices around the world and 60 years of experience, ‘Go All In’ is our agency’s ethos and commitment to bravery over mediocrity. We Go All In, in everything we do. We are committed to Go All In for our people, offering a hybrid working and brilliant benefits that builds a culture of happy people who are the best at what they do.

We’re proud of the work we do, and even prouder when it is recognised by our peers. We’ve been named 2025, 2024 Cannes Lions Winners, 2025 Fast Company Most Innovative Company, 2025 Campaign Global Agency of the Year and 2024 PRWeek Large Agency of the Year, and – closer to our team's home – Gold Drum B2B Award winners in 2025. It’s a testament to our team’s excellent work and dedication to innovation and client service.

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our dynamic Tech team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, begun to demonstrate strong communication skills, and a willingness to work proactively.

Who You Are:

As a member of our growing Technology and B2B practice, you will play an essential role in creating change for our clients.

We are looking for someone who constantly looks for new opportunities to grow. You are inquisitive, you learn, receive feedback and apply it. We want someone who wishes to grasp the fundamentals of our business, get under the skin of technology, and what it means to be progressive through earned media relations.

We are looking for someone who is details obsessed. You’re a team player first, who has a creative spark for providing new ideas and putting your hand up to take on new tasks. We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in the tech sector – that is non-negotiable. We want someone with the curiosity and drive to immerse themselves in our clients’ world and stay on top of trends shaping the industry.

Proactivity is the name of the game!  The right candidate constantly suggests, pitches in and secures media opportunities for our clients. This is perhaps the most important ask and should be considered your bread and butter for determining success in this role!

Inclusion is a core value for Golin. As an Account Executive, you champion diverse talent, proactively cultivate an inclusive culture and use cultural competence to drive our agency and our clients’ business forward.

You are by no means the finished article, however, the right candidate is willing to learn and develop fast at Golin. Opportunities are plentiful in what is a diverse and growing team, and we want somebody that will take those opportunities with both hands.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Creating meaningful impact for our clients
    • Demonstrate teamwork, innovative thinking, and a constant “can do” attitude when it comes to problem solving.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; we want someone that is aware of professional tone and body language, showing adaptability to different situations.
    • Crucially, demonstrate a clear interest in earned media relations. This is the backbone of the role – you'll be expected to proactively identify media opportunities, build relationships with journalists, and develop the confidence to pitch stories on behalf of your clients.
    • Prior experience in the B2B technology sector is advantageous, but not mandatory – however, a genuine interest in technology and willingness to develop expertise in this space is a must.
    • Strong time management skills, and a willingness to transfer these skills and competencies into project management tasks (writing timelines, drafting status updates, and providing project updates to clients on call).

  2. Growth & collaboration
    • Actively seek counsel and feedback from your work peers, including your line manager, team leads and colleagues.
    • Take ownership of your career and seek out opportunities to learn formally, including (but not limited to) training opportunities, and attending media events, and informally, such as asking questions, shadowing team and client meetings, and scheduling learning meetings with team members.

  3. Driving business responsibilities
    • Demonstrable skills in accountability and commitment to being a team player for both the Tech/B2B practice and wider business.
    • A willingness to learn and understand how your time impacts the business and budgets.
    • Begin to understand the financial processes of vendor management, including invoicing and set-up processes.
