As a Senior Account Executive, you will be instrumental in transforming how businesses address and manage their tax responsibilities—typically the second or third largest cost items, historically addressed with outdated 1990s technology.

In this Senior Account Executive role, you will take ownership of promoting the Tax.com platform to mid-market and enterprise clients, strategically engaging C-level executives, Finance and Tax leaders, and IT stakeholders to develop customized, impactful solutions. Your ability to navigate complex sales cycles, build trusted relationships, and provide thought leadership will be critical to your success. Must be able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and have very strong verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Tax.com ’s Key Results

  • Selling and leading the promotion of the tax.com platform, the #1 most comprehensive corporate tax software to new mid-market to enterprise customers across multiple verticals
  • Oversee the entire sales journey, from discovery and relationship-building to closing deals and ensuring seamless client onboarding. Demonstrate expertise in handling multi-stakeholder engagements with senior decision-makers.
  • Partner closely with Sales Development Representatives, Sales Engineers, and Sales Leadership to design and implement strategic plans that exceed revenue targets and ensure team success.
  • Demonstrate full accountability for sales quotas, leading by example to foster a high-performance culture and consistently achieve outstanding result.
  • Provide actionable market insights, customer feedback, and innovative ideas to inform product development and enhance overall sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions that address their unique challenges and deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Proven ability to cross sell and upsell existing clients multiple products across tax.com and Ryan services offering portfolio.
  • Strategic account planning across allocated account base to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Fully command of Tax.com platform and trusted advisor for larger Ryan professional services.
  • Outbound prospecting and hunter mentality
  • Selling experience to Finance and/or Tax preferred.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Excellent written skills and highly articulate.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, plus 7+ years of solution software sales experience with a history of driving, managing, and closing new customers.
  • Experience selling software (cloud/SaaS)
  • Proven ability to hit, or exceed, sales quota. 
  • Ability to articulate value proposition to C-Level, Finance, Account & HR executives.
  • Experience selling financial technology is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Limited travel required for this role.
