The Account Executive is responsible for delivering world-class service, partnering with clients to meet their advertising campaign objectives, and working with colleagues to manage the development of new accounts. As a key player in one of the largest media companies in Southern California, you'll have the chance to work with 11 daily newspapers, associated websites, multiple weekly newspapers, and social channels, reaching over 8.1 million readers each week. Must be located in the Los Angeles area with monthly in office expectations in Irvine, CA.
What you will do:
New business is key; utilize multiple lead sources to research, prioritize, and target potential customers, aligning their audience segments with SCNG/Adtaxi products, including print, internet banner advertising, custom/branded content, influencer marketing, behavioral and contextual targeted networks, video, SEO/SEM, mobile, and social media
Take charge of the entire sales process, from generating prospects to closing deals, with a focus on expanding new business opportunities and exceeding KPI goals for your clients
Develop and deliver compelling marketing presentations and solution-based proposals that cater to customer needs and effectively promote our products and services
Create and update marketing presentations using research and case studies to sell against competitive media
Strengthen and maintain partnerships with clients to ensure lasting business relationships and continued revenue growth and to define KPIs and success metrics for campaign performance
Work closely with clients post-sale to ensure client retention, renewal and overall campaign success
Stay ahead of the curve by actively monitoring and understanding current trends in the advertising technology industry
Demonstrate expert knowledge in online media channels, as well as an understanding of their correlation to offline executions, enabling you to effectively position our products and services against competitors
Assess key sales metrics to develop effective strategies for achieving sales success
Navigate smoothly across various departments within SCNG to create compelling media solutions for advertisers
What you will bring:
Possess 3+ years of advertising/advanced digital media sales experience, with a track record of driving revenue and closing deals
Have knowledge of using Cadences, Sales Engagement, Gemini AI and NotebookLM to assist in closing sales
Familiarity with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with a sales enablement platform (e.g., Outreach or Pardot) is preferred
Proficiency in Zoom, Google Hangouts, or similar video conferencing tools
Thoroughly skilled in sales techniques such as cold-calling, networking, and lead generation, with a proven ability to close deals
Capable of working independently, identifying and prioritizing business opportunities effectively
Demonstrated ability to negotiate multi-variable contracts and successfully close new business deals
Bring a positive and entrepreneurial spirit to the team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
Exhibit excellent presentation, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Benefits and Compensation:
The hourly range is $26.25 - $31.25 + cell phone stipend, mileage reimbursement, and uncapped commission (on-target earning potential is $150,000 - $170,000).
