NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Account Executive, Group Sales based in our Kansas city office.
The Group Sales Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of group ticket packages and hospitality experiences at Kansas Speedway. This role focuses on new business development, relationship management, and delivering exceptional client experiences from initial outreach through event execution.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, coachable, and passionate about sales, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to exceeding revenue goals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Generate new revenue through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and in-person sales meetings.
• Identify and cultivate new group sales opportunities with businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups.
• Maintain a high level of outbound activity, including 60–80 calls per day and a consistent schedule of sales meetings.
• Build relationships with key decision makers to identify opportunities for group sales and hospitality experiences.
• Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing group sales clients to increase repeat business and maximize client spend.
• Renew existing group sales accounts and present enhanced opportunities, packages, and event experiences.
• Provide outstanding customer service throughout the entire sales cycle.
• Assist with the development and implementation of innovative group sales programs and revenue-generating initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all prospecting activity, client communications, and sales transactions within the CRM system.
• Prepare sales presentations and proposals tailored to prospective clients.
• Oversee group sales client experiences on event/race days to ensure successful delivery of services and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure group packages, seating, and hospitality elements are properly executed.
• Represent the organization professionally during events and client interactions.
• Support department initiatives and other sales projects as assigned.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment focused on achieving revenue objectives.
Required skills/experience:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of sales experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, ticketing, or event sales.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop new business, and close sales.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Comfortable making high-volume outbound sales calls and conducting face-to-face sales meetings.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Experience with CRM systems and ticketing platforms preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and meet clean driving record criteria.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during race events.
• Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform tasks associated with event operations.
• Work is performed in both indoor office settings and outdoor event environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and event activity.
