Location

Our Account Executive will operate remotely OR be based out of one of our major Canadian office locations - Vancouver, BC, or Toronto, ON.

The Opportunity

As an Account Executive for our Financial Services industry vertical, you will be responsible for leading new business development activities and growing market share within Canada. You will work collaboratively with our largest client accounts and the Customer Relationship Partner team to drive growth and adoption of new services. 

This role sits within our TELUS Digital business unit, Badal. Badal is a boutique Google Cloud Platform consulting and services business. Our team works with Google Cloud Platform’s top clients in various industries such as Financial Services, Telco, Energy, Retail, and more to help clients with Cloud Transformation, Security, Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Governance, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful adoption and onboarding of Google Cloud solutions at key organizations to help customers realize the business value of our partnership and offerings.
  • Create value for customers by partnering to define success and building a joint plan with identified objectives, stakeholders, milestones, risks, and metrics needed to achieve their goals.
  • Form strategic relationships with stakeholders (e.g., C-Suite and IT team) to understand a customer’s business within their industry and develop strategic roadmaps.
  • Guide IT and business executives through the organizational changes needed to unlock the full value of the cloud and help their staff, train, and align their people and partners to deliver on their cloud transformation.
  • Partner with customer-facing account teams and executives from across TELUS and our partners to develop strategic and technical plans that help customers achieve their business and cloud consumption goals.

Competencies

  • Current and significant experience in Google Cloud enterprise digital sales with a proven track record of exceeding multi-million dollar targets
  • Experience leading large enterprise organizations through a people, process, and technology transformation from building and operating legacy, on-premise software to running as a digital native business in the public cloud
  • Experience with data center migration strategies, collaborating with channel partners, and systems integrators
  • Experience helping customers decide whether to make investments in new technologies and projects based on expected value and Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Knowledge of the Google Cloud ecosystem
  • Understand the client's business, priorities, and leadership agenda, managing CXO-level relationships
  • Co-create with the client, articulate transformation, and drive the innovation agenda for the client
  • Align the right teams or capabilities to enable the successful transformation initiatives and achievement of client innovation agendas
  • Establish self as a trusted advisor with the client C-suite through an in-depth understanding of the client and their industry

Sales Incentive Plan

This position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan. The range displayed is only the annual base salary. To maintain equity across the business, sales incentive plans are determined by job level, not individual circumstances.

Individual base salaries are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons determined during the interview process. Salary bands are periodically reviewed and updated based on market changes, internal needs, and industry trends. To maintain pay equity for team members, TELUS Digital conducts regular compensation audits.

Annual Base Salary Range (Commission Eligible)
$132,000$165,000 CAD
