Job Summary: As an Accident Management Center (AMC) Team Lead, you will provide nationwide support for the Accident Management Center activity to customers and other Fleet personnel on a diverse range of technical, administrative and analytical functions. Location of position: Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office Of Fleet Management, Leasing Support Division Fleet, Maintenance and Accident Management Branch (QMDFA). The Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Fleet Management, Leasing Support Division Fleet, Maintenance and Accident Management Branch (QMDFA) provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of GSA's fleet management programs for the federal government. As an Accident Management Center (AMC) Team Lead, you will be responsible for performing the following duties: Serve as a team leader for a group of subordinate transportation operations specialists and/or support personnel. Provides leadership in overseeing on-site activities and subordinate associates. Coordinate crash and accident reporting, commercial repairs, and resolution of third-party claims involving GSA fleet vehicles. Provides support to FAS customers through a national accident reporting and control system. Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the AMC operations, with emphasis on the quality and timeliness of support provided through a nationwide reporting system and optimal efficiencies in the collision repair area. Serve as the primary point-of-contact for the AMC function and exercises independent judgment to provide and gather factual and procedural information and data; answers questions from Fleet personnel, customers, and vendors; identifies problem area/customer complaints and monitors and coordinates the processing of accident reports and third-party claims. Review commercial shop estimates to determine the cost effectiveness of the work proposed to be performed. Ensures that all repair estimates from GSA vendors are in accordance with industry standards. Compares commercial shop estimates cost required to return vehicle to operating condition and authorizes repairs up to the authorized procurement level. Negotiates best prices with open market vendors for vehicle repair services and supplies.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the federal service. Specialized experience is: providing technical advice to fleet customers for fleet management services and contracting issues; coordinating the repair of fleet vehicles that have been damaged as a result of an accident; maintaining data in an automated logistics or a fleet management system; and analyzing fleet and/or accident management operations to develop recommendations for improvement to a fleet management program.
