Chapters are the "homes" of employees within Roche that represent technical & functional topics/expertise. Objectives and Scope of Position:
As the chapter lead for the Access and Policy Chapter, you will be responsible for leading market access activities in Taiwan including shaping and driving pricing, payer value and our market access strategies. You will support the team to demonstrate the clinical and economic benefits of Roche products for patient access in both private and reimbursement market segments, all with strong collaboration with stakeholders internally and externally.
As a chapter lead, you will act as an agile leader (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) and ensure all chapter members live Roche Taiwan’s desired state culture. You are passionate about our focus on people & culture, our external customers, patient access and long-term healthcare sustainability in Taiwan.
You will be the catalyst and role model to lead the team to contribute to the network within the Taiwan affiliate or beyond Taiwan. You always put patients at the center of our operations and ensure everything we do will sustainably benefit patients and bring value to our society.
Key Deliverables/ Outputs
Achieve timely reimbursement for Roche innovations
Create access solutions for Roche products in the NHI and private healthcare environments
Co-create and implement our engagement plan for access and policy to fulfil our long-term vision
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) leader who enable individuals and teams are developing and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the organisation
Drive excellence in price and reimbursement maintenance as well as implementation of Roche market access strategy throughout the product lifecycle by acting as a strategic partner in both reimbursement and private market segment.
Lead for access strategy development and execution, the contract with payer and negotiation strategy for reimbursement price in Taiwan. This requires the work with government authorities, payer, healthcare professions, insurance companies, health organizations and any other key stakeholders to demonstrate the value of Roche products and to address the barriers in order to drive access for innovations
Development of local market access and policy plans. Ensure capacity building within Roche Taiwan for implantation.
To maximize opportunities for patient access to treatment beyond public health coverage. This includes opportunities for new approaches with private insurance companies and foundations within Taiwan
Catalyst for the networking way of working: leads the team to work as partners with other chapters/ clusters within the affiliate, as well as, global counterparts
A leader to ensure resource and talent fluidity to reach the Roche North Star faster
Professional and Technical Requirements
Education/Qualifications:
Minimum:
B.S. degree in Medical/Pharmaceuticals/Economics related fields
Strongly desired:
M.S. degree preferred

Experience
At least 8 years working experience in the Taiwan pharmaceutical industry and 5+ years in an access related function
Excellent knowledge of the Healthcare and Pricing environment, product development, regulatory process, health economics, pricing strategy, biometrics, biostatistics and clinical research. Very good understanding of business issues
Proven good relations with payer and ability to establish strong influential relationships with key stakeholders
Experience in developing and implementing strategies and resource plans
Strong ability to work independently in a cross-functional in a matrix environment
Knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with third party stakeholders and external customers
Strong communication and presentation skills, fluent in both written and verbal
