This role is primarily hybrid with no regular onsite requirement; however, occasional in‑person attendance may be needed for meetings or to support seasonal educational activities within the department.

Job Summary

Supports, implements and maintains academic clinical scheduling for the Office of Medical Education. Schedules various learners including, but not limited to, resident and fellow physicians, medical students, advanced practice students, and other learners who wish to secure a clinical rotation at a Corewell Health location. Works with a wide variety of universities, colleges and institutions to ensure timely processing and a quality experience for all learners at Corewell Health. Collaborates with all Corewell Health offices / locations and community practices to support the overall learner experience. Works on complex projects/tasks and solves unique administrative challenges.

Essential Functions

  • Works collaboratively with others in matters of academic scheduling in order to ensure scheduling of clinical rotations for assigned learners. Assists with master schedule build in order to ensure adequate learner coverage to provide patient care, while not diluting educational experience.
  • Manages and processes academic schedule changes for assigned learners. Ensure updates in schedules are communicated to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Intern and Resident Information System (IRIS) report for Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as assigned.
  • Maintains open and productive communications/relationships with all staff, leadership and affiliated institutions to ensure a quality experience at Corewell Health.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulations associated with the organization, graduate and undergraduate medical education, and universities.
  • Provides quality deliverables associated with scheduling and all projects assigned. Deliverables include, but not limited to, various schedules and reports, visiting learner orientation requirements, and maintenance of resident/fellow profile and schedules in residency management suite.
  • Processes access and security requests for assigned learners
  • Supports and electronic scheduling software system to manage all learners at Corewell Health.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree
  • 2 years of relevant experience in related field

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
