Key Responsibilities:
POSITION BACKGROUND:
The project uses a health system–strengthening approach to enhance the quality and equitable use of maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) services in five target provinces over 9.5 months. The project has engaged the National Maternal and Child Health Center (NMCHC) early to ensure technical alignment and collaborative implementation in line with national EmONC, SBCC-MIYCN and EENC standards. Interventions will be carried out at facility level in collaboration with Provincial Health Departments (PHDs), referral hospitals (RHs), and Operational Districts (ODs). A total of 386 midwives will receive competency-based training on the use of NASG, electronic fetal monitors, and newborn care equipment, followed by coaching and mentorship using available resources to avoid delays. The is also provide competencies improvement, outreach expands, and community engagement increases care-seeking, then the quality and uptake of MNCH services will improve.
The project is seeking qualified candidates to work for its 9.5 months project duration which is supposed to start on the project implementation from April 2026.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The project is looking for two potential candidates to fulfill the role of project coordinators.
The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with Senior Project Manager, the Senior Technical Specialists, TPOs, Area Program Manager and team, Regional Management team, NMCHC, NNP, Provincial Health Departments (PHDs), operational districts (ODs), and Health Centers (HCs) to ensure timely delivery of project outputs and activities. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager for Lifesaving and Nursing Future and leads implementation efforts to build skills and practices among PHDs/ODs staff, health center midwives and nurses, and village health support groups (VHSGs). This supports the project goal: Women, young children, adolescents, and caregivers—especially the most disadvantaged—in underserved provinces will live healthier and safer lives, access quality RMNCAH&N services, and practice nurturing care.
This position is coordination and oversight project management that demands strong coordination, partnership management and implementation skills, aligned with WVI-C's values and mission. The Project coordinator will represent the senior project manager and WVI-C in stakeholder engagement to build capacity for promoting and supporting Saving lives, Nurturing Futures - Advancing MNCH & CHN in Underserved Provinces of Cambodia - among PHDs, ODs, and HC midwives…Etc. Additionally, the role will coordinate for supervision and monitoring on project implementation to ensure alignment with the Saving lives, Nurturing Futures approach and compliance with donor requirements.
