This Competency Engineer is the highest technical level on the services team. The team wears a lot of hats from field serice and engineering consulting to remote support.

Job Summary
This role is responsible for implementing technical solutions for clients, occasionally leading in the development of detailed technical designs for enterprise-level solutions. The role creates tailored technical designs which satisfy clients' needs, using extensive knowledge across a broad spectrum of the organization's technology. The role provides leadership in integration activities and planning for complex system environments. The role also contributes to organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.

Responsibilities

  • Implements either a portion or the entirety of the technical solution for clients in alignment with agreed-upon technical designs, occasionally taking charge of detailed technical designs for enterprise solutions.

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge across a wide spectrum of organization’s technology to develop detailed technical designs that meet specific customer requirements.

  • Offers technical support and expertise in applying technology to defined business segments, providing insights into solution and integration opportunities for these segments.

  • Takes on a leadership role in specific integration activities within engagements and offers planning and design support for developing solution architectures in complex system environments.

  • Communicates across client communities, adding substantial value to projects, and embodies the execution of the organization's strategic direction.

  • Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, ensuring documentation and sharing of project insights, and encourages participation and contributions from others in professional communities.

  • Engages in pre-sales activities and collaborates with sales/principals to support the selling process.

  • Creates internally published materials, such as knowledge briefs and service delivery kit components, and ensures adherence to relevant certification and professional standards.

  • Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.

  • Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in implementation consultancy, customer support, focused technology areas, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

The base pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
