Job Description:

  • This position would be the lead responsible for maintaining the plant layout and carrier designs in 3d.
  • Familiarity with Client assembly project standards are required.
  • This person should be a self-starter and be capable of making accurate field observations, measurements and converting information supplied from other vendors into the overall composite plant layout.

This individual’s responsibilities to include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain integration of supplier provided 3d drawings and integrate into a plant layout using scanned point cloud data to identify interferences and safety clearance concerns
  • Oversee timely and organized submission of all 3d CAD drawings on the ACC provided to Client by suppliers
  • Design in 3d carriers and conveyor equipment as required for program review
  • This individual will report to the Client Project Manager

Expected Experience and Skills

  • Minimum (10) years of 3d CAD design in automotive manufacturing applications
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of all conveyor and automotive product carrier design
  • Must demonstrate experience with utilizing 3d point cloud environments in a design workflow
