Collins Aerospace is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead front-line production operations within our Power Electronics Controls business. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable electronic assemblies while fostering a safe, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

As a 2nd shift leader, you will be responsible for daily execution of production plans, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and developing hourly associates through coaching, training, and performance management. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to resolve issues, drive continuous improvement, and support operational excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a production team by setting clear expectations, allocating resources, removing roadblocks, and coaching for performance.

  • Drive compliance to production schedules and plant metrics, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Takt Time, and customer requirements.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting safety observations, and addressing hazards proactively.

  • Ensure all products meet quality requirements by reinforcing standard work, responding to quality issues, and partnering with Quality to drive corrective actions.

  • Supervise, train, coach, and motivate hourly associates to achieve production, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

  • Conduct performance feedback, support skill development, and prepare employees for increased responsibility and proficiency.

  • Plan and organize labor, materials, and equipment to meet daily production schedules and customer commitments.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (safety, quality, delivery, productivity) and take action to close gaps.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, and standard work adherence.

  • Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues related to people, process, equipment, or materials.

  • Coordinate closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Maintenance to address production constraints and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor agreements (if applicable), and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • Experience in a team lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift (1:30 - 11pm).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, tools, and quality control.

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and production data.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
