PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONS: (Important: both Essential and Marginal functions must equal 100%)
Average % of Time Essential/Marginal Functions DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
M Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves and setups and other facilities related tasks.
E Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment.
5% E Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed.
5% E Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.
5% M Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities.
5% E Troubleshoot and repair controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system.
5% E Use system software to troubleshoot, trend and monitor conveyor equipment.
Develop and implement innovative ideas to increase productivity and/or reliability.
Enter data in the computerized maintenance management system.
Perform minor electrical work such as running conduit and pulling wire.
Perform analytical tests on the various conveyor systems and document results.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the required qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma
· 4-6 years industrial maintenance experience with conveyors, controls and operating systems of a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.
· Experience working around pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills and industrial electrical systems

· Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics and blueprints
· Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings
· Ability to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC
· Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
· Knowledge of Automatic Identification systems (Laser Scanning Devices).
· Experience working effectively under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
· Regarded as a system expert in at least one area (i.e. Pick Module, VAS, Shipping Sorter)
· Highly motivated, a team player and a self-starter
· Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative constructive manner
· Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to positively influence others
· Strong project planning and project management skills
· Demonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneously
· Knowledge of OSHA compliance is a plus
· Conversational Spanish skills a plus
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
· Experience in using Microsoft Outlook and Word programs
· Multi-task in a fast paced work environment that has a strong customer focus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
· Valid Drivers License
· Fork Lift Certification
