This position is in the Commercial Engines Engineering, PW1500G/PW1900G/PW800 (24K) Customer Technical Services team, for a Senior Engineer (P3) focused on Cold Section (Fan and Compressor) hardware. This assignment offers interesting and exciting insight to the engineering support of our airline customers, engine shops, and airframers. Job requires flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing requirements and priorities, and ability to multitask across several engine disciplines, hardware, and/or across several GTF engine models and customers.

What You Will Do:

The PW1500G/PW1900G/PW800 Customer Technical Service Senior Engineer will focus on the specific task requirements as follows:

  • Interface with commercial airline operators, MRO shops, worldwide PW Field Service Representatives, and airframe companies (Airbus/A220, Embraer/E190) by developing and maturing design, operation, maintenance, and technical data.

  • Participation in airline and MRO engine shop customer meetings, conferences, customer council calls as well as releasing All Operator communications and Service Information Reports through development and presentation of relevant engineering material.

  • Initiate technical data development through Engineering Authorizations (EA) and Engineering Changes (ECs) and other processes for on wing and engine shop maintenance data for all Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) manuals in support of airline and MRO continued operations.

  • Collaborate closely with multiple internal organizations from Engineering, Aftermarket Ops, Quality, Programs, Customer Support, and more to ensure clear, accurate and timely development and communication of engine inspection/operation/maintenance data.

  • Provide engineering support to flight test and production assembly lines, interface with development test engineering as well as PW production and airframer final assembly line teams regarding the modification, inspection, and maintenance of the flight test compliance engines and/or production pre-delivery engines.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a related field, and minimum 5+ years of related experience or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  • Must be willing to travel to various domestic and international Airline Customers, Partners/Suppliers, Repair, and MRO organizations, typical travel 10-20%.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry, specifically gas turbine engines, propulsion/powerplant systems, and/or airline or airframer engineering, operations, or maintenance.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal and team player qualities.

  • Comfortable with presenting in front of others and dealing with high-pressure situations and/or questions.

  • Open to learn and grow into a larger future role within the CTS organization through experience and on-the-job formal training.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
