Debt Capital Markets
The DCM team is part of CIBC’s U.S. Investment Banking team, charting the course of executing transactions in a constantly changing market environment. This team provides our clients with advisory, origination and execution services for bonds, hybrid capital, institutional term loans and private placements. The successful candidate will be one who can adapt to these changing conditions with creativity, energy and an entrepreneurial spirit in order to meet the evolving demands of our clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
Our Debt Capital Markets platform provides Summer Analysts with an opportunity to gain applicable experience in the U.S. debt underwriting and advisory business. The Summer Analyst will support the Investment Grade DCM team, with an opportunity to do a rotation onto the Debt Private Placements team.

You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a Business, Economics, Engineering or related discipline at the time of the internship

How You’ll Succeed
Summer Analysts will need to be effective communicators capable of building relationships both internally and with clients. As a Summer Analyst, you will have the responsibility of providing detailed analytical, financial modeling, structuring, research and transaction support to senior professionals in your business, helping to win business and execute transactions.

Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts
Proven ability to contribute to high performance teams
Ability to work within a non-public information environment requiring adherence to strict internal procedures

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary $115,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program) for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
