Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a fall co-op to provide operational and administrative support to the Trading Room. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to propose and implement automation and streamline processes where applicable.

What will you do?

  • Provide administrative support to the trading desk.
  • Assist in the input the reconciliation of previous day trading activity.
  • Act as a liaison between trading and operations staff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all trades.
  • Identify trade settlement issues while offering solutions to minimize risks or costs.
  • Pro-actively offer solutions for streamlining processes and/or procedures

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Knowledge of Excel with the ability to use and maintain macros.
  • Must be a self-starter that can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Nice to Have  

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate intricate trade discrepancies and recommend a course of action.
  • Familiarity with trading terminology and back-office processes.
  • Working knowledge to any of the following systems: Charles River, Bloomberg, PCView, DTCC, GTSS, CloudMargin

Please note

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: 

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or 
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$40,000.00 - $60,000.00

The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting.
