What You’ll Do

 

We want our office in India to become an incubator for top technology talent of all levels to come build transformative tools and applications—while learning from leading minds in our industry. At Point72 in Bengaluru, you’ll have access to the resources of a global hedge fund while maintaining the creative autonomy needed to help solve complex problems and contribute meaningfully to our success.

At Point72, you will work on solving some of the most challenging technology problems in finance like real-time data ingestion at scale, advanced analytics pipelines, low-latency trading platforms, AI-driven research tools, and cloud-native applications that need to be secure, resilient, and lightning-fast. With the advent of Agentic AI, there is a marked focus on accelerating our engineering build out leveraging the same.

Specifically, you will:

 

• Work in small, product-focused teams to design, build, and optimize mission-critical applications that power our portfolio managers, research analysts, and data scientists
• Engineer high-performance systems with a focus on scalability and reliability, while having direct access to business and technology stakeholders
• Work with live data streams, orchestrating pipelines to process terabytes of structured and unstructured data from global markets, news feeds, geospatial inputs, and alternative sources
• Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced statistical techniques to create intelligent tools for idea generation, risk management, predictive analytics and increasing operational efficiency
• Contribute to a DevSecOps culture—maintaining high standards of code quality, performance tuning, and security across applications
• Experiment with emerging technologies from generative AI to GPU computing to discover new approaches in real-time decision making
• Gain exposure to modern tech stacks including Python, Java, C++, React, Agentic AI frameworks, Node.js, Kafka, Spark, Postgres, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Receive mentorship from seasoned senior technologists and engineers who have experience building sophisticated systems used in the finance industry

 

 

What’s required

• Expected bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering in 2026
• Strong programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, C++, or similar
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Git, JIRA)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of a team
• Ability and willingness to always conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
