Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Software Engineer, or Computer Science for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Rolling Meadows, IL.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Manufacturing Engineering Organization.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL the criteria below. The candidate must:
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.
Be majoring in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Software) or Computer Science
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2026.
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Familiarity with C# or LabView coding languages
Familiarity with .NET Frameworks (basic understanding of classes, collections, and exception handling)
Familiarity with version control (Git) and debugging tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Proficient in MS office, C# or LabView Coding Languages
Experience with lasers and optics
Experience interfacing software with test hardware
Ability to troubleshoot code or hardware-software integration issues
At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
Intern Pay Range:
Bachelors: $24.75 to $31.25
Masters: $35.50 to $38.25
