Job Description

This Field Engineering Test organization is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and commissioning protection and control schemes and electrical power apparatus associated with the Bulk Electric System and Distribution System.

Intern Responsibilities include:

  • Calibration and repair of Test Equipment such as power system simulators used to maintain relay systems as part of meeting regulatory compliance
  • Reviewing Test Equipment inventory
  • Managing repairs with original equipment manufacturers
  • Work with supervisors to ensure job aids, engineering documentation, material and test equipment is available for task execution
  • Job shadow supervisors during job site visits

Candidates must be pursuing a degree in electrical engineering technology (ASET) or electrical engineer (BSEE).

Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource. Pay rates are hourly, based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Rates start at $20.60 for a freshman and go up to $29.86 for a graduate level student.
