Job Description

 What is the opportunity?

The successful applicant will participate in and support the operational activities of the CDO Reference Data Management team. This team performs traditional Reference Data Management for RBC and provides Subject Matter Expertise to the Enterprise and guidance on RBC's Business & Client Classification data. Gains experience and working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.

What will you do?

  • Gain a working knowledge of RBC’s business classification elements
  • Work as part of an agile team to achieve project goals
  • Closely work with and respond to Stakeholders
  • Manage team mailbox and respond to inquiries within standard SLA’s, escalating where required
  • Learn/Perform basic SQL queries
  • Sort/Organize large data sets using excel

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on business, administration, finance, economics

  • Creative and analytical thinker
  • Effective communications skills, both written and oral
  • Self-starter with thirst for continuous learning
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

•            Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice-to-have

  • Basic working knowledge of SQL
  • Financial Services/Banking experience
  • Basic working knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Strong skills in analysis of data and information
