The Bike Shop Department is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle. 

This position is an onsite role in Tuscon, AZ.

What You Will Do:

  • Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a test range
  • Support and collaborate with multidisciplined teams in rapid reaction prototyping
  • Creating and/or support with technical data packages (systems / mechanical / electrical drawings)
  • Troubleshooting issues and anomalies with hardware and/or software, to identify root cause and implement and verify solutions
  • Experience with CAD software tools (CREO, Mentor Graphics etc.)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment.
  • Experience in rapid reaction prototype and development.
  • Active and transferrable US government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active and in-scope US security clearance of Secret or higher.
  • Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance, such as ships, ground combat systems, fixed and rotary wing aircraft
  • Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in a direct customer facing role

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
