The Statutory Transfer Pricing (STP) Implementation team is part of RBC Enterprise Controller within the CFO group. Summer Interns are recruited into various teams within the CFO group.  This position will support improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencies and controls in STP activities and assisting in the effort to ensure that RBC satisfies all global STP and finance requirements consistently and comprehensively.

What will you do?

As an analyst for the Implementation team within STP, you will help with the following:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to transfer pricing transactions.
  • Maintain monthly transaction tracker.
  • Co-ordinate Transfer Pricing onboarding meetings and taking meeting minutes for distribution.
  • Assist Senior Managers with automation initiatives.
  • Ad hoc projects.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus in Accounting, Business   Administration, commerce, or an equivalent.
  • Technologically savvy, adept with new tools.
  • Strong MS Office skills – Excel, outlook, word, PowerPoint.
  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have

  • Programming and automation knowledge
  • Experience with SharePoint, Tableau, and Python.
  • Previous experience working with a Financial Institution

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: 

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or 
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
