Blackstone Europe Fund Management S.à r.l. (BEFM) is a private limited liability company (société à responsibilité limitée) notably subject to the Law of 10 August 1915 on commercial companies, as amended from time to time and to the AIFM Law. BEFM is authorized by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) as (i) a management company under Article 101(2) (Chapter 15) of the Law of 17 December 2010 on undertakings for collective investment, as amended (the UCI Law) and (ii) an alternative investment fund manager in accordance with the Law of 12 July 2013 on alternative investment fund managers, as amended (the AIFM Law). BEFM manages UCITS and alternative investment funds (AIFs) in a variety of asset classes including private equity, real estate, credit and hedge fund solutions. BEFM is also authorized to manage separately managed accounts (SMAs) with a combination of these asset classes.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, the Off Cycle Intern will be an integral member of BEFM Fund Finance Oversight team in Luxembourg and will have the opportunity to participate in the oversight of the delegates and NAV review activities as described below:
• Supporting the supervision of fund administrators and depositaries, which includes the review of the key processes and procedures, challenge of key performance indicators, but also the coordination within the Group in case of operational issues or new regulatory requirements to implement
• Supporting Group operations teams and depositary banks on ownership verification of assets held by the Funds
• Supporting the NAV review activities including different types of controls and procedures
• Supporting the preparation of information for Management Committee meetings and board meetings
• Other general administrative tasks

Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar discipline
• A prior experience (as intern) within relevant financial services industry (e.g. Private Equity, Real Estate, Banking, Investment Management, Audit/Advisory) is a plus
• Strong technical finance/accounting skills
• Ability to understand a compliance environment and implement relevant process to meet regulatory requirements.
• Must be skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, with the capability to create innovative, and comprehensive reports. Demonstrates a keen interest in leveraging technology and enhancing abilities on IT platforms, such as Tableau and Sigma. • Fluent in English, both written and oral.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of successfully engaging and collaborating in an international environment.
• A collaborative team player with a resourceful mindset and a focus on efficiency.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, strong time management skills, and attention to detail.
