Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems / Engineer Systems. This position will be located at our Aeronautics System Sector in Edwards AFB, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test & Evaluation organization.
The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Other duties include:
Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Systems (T01) or Engineer Systems (T02)
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Systems (T01)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026.
Be majoring in or having majored in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM degree.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period period of time, as determined by the Company.

Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026.
Be majoring in or having majored in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM degree.

Preferred Qualifications
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Foundational interest in networks and networking protocols.
Exposure to data links and communications systems.
Foundational understanding of computer science and software.
Experience or interest in data reduction and analysis to support anomaly resolution.
Familiarity with network connectivity for systems supporting aircraft capabilities.
Pay Range
Associate Engineer Systems: $76,200.00 to $ 114,400.00
Engineer Systems: $91,800.00 to $137,600.00
