Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Liaison/MRB Engineer or Liaison/MRB Engineer . This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS.
This position is on a weekend shift, 3x12 schedule Friday to Sunday 7AM-7:30PM.
Key responsibilities:
The Liaison/MRB Engineer will assist with the disposition of withhold supplier tags. Candidate should have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials.
Tasks will include interfacing with multiple suppliers, dispositioning of discrepant material tags, interfacing with stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel in the design center and build facilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus.
This requisition may be filled as either a Associate Liaison/MRB Engineer (level 1) or Liaison/MRB Engineer (level 2) based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Liaison/MRB Engineer
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar STEM degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access is required to start.
Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Liaison/MRB
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 or a completed Bachelors degree and 2 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in composite airframe structures .
Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar STEM degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Hands on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.
Experience with military specs and standards.
Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures.
Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority. "EN".
Experience interfacing with a military customer
Current, in-scope Secret clearance (or higher)
Pay Range:
Associate Liaison/MRB Engineer: $62,300 to $93,500
Liaison/MRB Engineer: $75,100 to $112,700
