Northrop Grumman is seeking AI Systems Engineering interns for an opportunity at our corporate headquarters in Falls Church, VA in the AI Strategy & Governance team within the Insights & Intelligence (i2) organization. The AI Strategy & AI Governance team is responsible for maintaining NG’s leadership as a trusted provider of AI solutions to its employees and its customers. Ensure every employee is confident in our use of AI at the company.
The AI Governance designs, implements and manages a framework for embedding trust, safety, human‑centricity, and risk‑mitigation practices throughout AI solutions at NG. In this role you will apply systems thinking, logical reasoning, and analytical skills to review AI deployments and validate that they adhere to Northrop Grumman’s Responsible AI principles and meet stakeholder requirements. AI Governance reviews are conducted in partnership with experts in privacy, cybersecurity, law and more to enforce AI policies and standards.
The AI Strategy team is responsible for shaping and delivering an enterprise-wide AI vision that powers AI solutions delivered to NG customers. With the strategy team, you will blend technical skills with strategic business acumen and support across engineering, product, and program teams to turn cutting edge AI research into sustainable, operational capabilities. You will coordinate across business units to enable delivery of AI solutions to NG customers and support the development of enterprise tools and services to increase employee productivity.
