The Senior Consultant – Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for delivering high quality cloud solutions with a primary focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and secondary expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires strong technical depth, hands on administration skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence for AMS (Application Management Services) clients. The consultant is expected to work independently, ensure secure and efficient cloud operations, and collaborate across multiple functional teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management
•Lead the design, implementation, and administration of OCI environments; support AWS cloud operations as required.
•Oversee day-to-day cloud infrastructure activities including compute, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and patching.
•Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and efficient resource utilization across cloud platforms.
2. Cloud Architecture & Security
•Contribute to the development of secure and scalable cloud architectures aligned with industry best practices.
•Manage cloud security controls including IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
•Conduct regular audits, security reviews, and risk assessments to maintain compliance and reduce vulnerabilities.
3. AMS Client Support & Operations
•Provide operational support for AMS clients, ensuring adherence to SLAs and proactive issue resolution.
•Manage incident, service request, and problem management activities with minimal supervision.
•Deliver root-cause analysis and continuous improvement recommendations for recurring issues.
4. Infrastructure Budget & Cost Optimization
•Monitor cloud usage and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations for AMS clients.
•Provide insights on cost optimization strategies, reservations, and rightsizing opportunities.
•Track monthly and quarterly cloud expenditures and prepare budget forecasts.
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Governance
•Coordinate with cloud service providers, technology partners, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
•Review vendor deliverables, SLAs, and contractual commitments to ensure compliance.
•Escalate and manage vendor issues to timely resolution.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Work closely with application teams, security teams, networking teams, and project managers to support integrated solution delivery.
•Participate in architecture discussions, operational readiness reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
•Contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
7. Continuous Learning & Certification
•Maintain and expand cloud expertise through ongoing learning and certification.
•Apply newly acquired knowledge to strengthen cloud environments and improve operational practices.
•Leverage recent Oracle certifications to implement enhanced capabilities and solutions.

Technical Skills
•Primary: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
•Secondary: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
•Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, security, and automation frameworks
•Hands-on experience with:
oCloud administration
oBackup operations & DR strategy
oIdentity and access management
oMonitoring & observability tools
oSecurity and compliance controls
•Understanding of ITIL processes and AMS operational models
