2025-49- Lead Test Systems Development Engineer

Position Summary    
 
Seeking a hands-on, energetic, assertive, motivated, and experienced Lead Test Systems Development engineer to join an international test development team.
The selected candidate will hold a senior position among a dedicated team of electrical test engineers, as well as perform hands-on electrical development, debugging and optimization in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) test station development.
The ideal candidate will have a broad production test and automation background, with a thorough understanding of how to automate testing for a high-volume consumer electronics production environment. Familiarity with common quality assurance practices for qualifying production test stations and methods are a plus.
This high visibility role will work closely across functional departments with product design engineering, production engineering, quality engineering and operations during product development, NPI and mass production stages.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Reporting to the TSD manager, the Lead TSD engineer will be a part of an international team of test systems development engineers.
· Serve as a resident expert in production testing and automation.
· Able to lead, mentor, and motivate engineers to meet production test objectives.
· Research new production test methods and look for opportunities to improve test efficiency.
· Coordinate and work closely as part of the TSD team to achieve production test objectives.
· RF Test Tool Development including BT, BLE, WIFI, ZigBee, and RF4CE.
· Drive standardization of test methodology of specific features.
· Effective communication with other departments internally and globally.
· Continuous improvement in testing following industry best practices.
· Drive Yield Improvement, Cycle Time Reduction and Cost & Quality enhancements.
· Support the transition of test stations from NPI to MP.
· Collaborate with design and firmware development teams.
· Create and provide the necessary documentation for a successful handoff to the production team.
· Attend production test meetings and factory audits with key customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities – List Teams/Groups
·  Support TSD Manager to manage TSD team members and ensure all assigned jobs are done.
 
Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience
To be successful in applying for this role, the candidate should meet the following requirements:
· Good English/Vietnamese communication skills required (Mandarin is a plus). 
· Minimum of 5 years in High Volume Manufacturing Test, and 3 years in a senior role.
· Have hands-on test experience and understanding of how to test RF and audio products (ie. Bluetooth, BLE, WiFi, etc.)
·  Familiarity with testing consumer IOT and remote-control products.
·  Programming with common languages such as Python, C#, LabVIEW, and others.
· Knowledge and understanding of common test and measurement equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
·  Test fixture/jig design experience.
· Clearly communicate issues, concerns, and findings to the design engineer and factory manager.
· Research and recommend solutions to complex production test problems.
· Familiar with electronic circuit design and NPI development process before mass production.
·  Familiar with fast design of hardware for product testing.
· Familiar with statistical analysis such as Cpk and Gage R&R analysis.
 Additional skills that set you apart include:
· Familiarity with Firmware, ARM, PLC, UART/HID control is a plus.
· Experience working with MES systems (Manufacturing Execution System)
· Knowledge of ISO16949, APQP, PPAP in automotive manufacturing environment is a plus.
· Fixture/Jig design experience, familiar with the pneumatic/clamp structure design.
· Good understanding of standard/non-standard fixture/station structure (RF/Audio/IR/Programming)
· Rich experience of fixture parts/module selection.
· Familiar with CAD mechanical design (at least one of them).
· Concept DFM design at the beginning of project and review/validate fixture on-site.
· Good office and presentation skills (PPT/Excel).
· CNC fixture design/manufacture experience will be plus.
 
Education, Licenses & Certification
·  Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.

Work Conditions
·  48-hours per week
· Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
·  Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
