Position: Maintenance Technician III

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 4:30am – 1pm, With OT when needed
Pay: $36.90 per hour

 

SUMMARY 

The primary role of the Maintenance Technician III is to provide competent & effective Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance support to the Plant and Facility operations in a SAFE manner. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, adjusting and repairing of plant machinery to meet industry standards while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to USDA, OSHA, FDA, EPA and Local Government. The position will require a flexible schedule focusing on predictive/preventive maintenance and timely repairs. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installed, and/or troubleshoot and repair Manufacturing equipment such as: assembly, conveyors, forming, mixing (Oven operations is a plus). 
  • Follows work instructions and OSHA safety rules, including the use of all PPE and other safety equipment in an industrial environment. 
  • Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment. 
  • Diagnose and repair all electrical functions. 
  • Must be able to prioritize and triage in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Must be able to maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufactures specifications while following preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled PM’S. 
  • Generate work orders, and parts request. 
  • Ability to lead projects from start to finish 
  • Be able to use some machine shop, and other related machines as required to repair parts or fabricate modifications. 
  • Complete work orders and PMs and the documentation for that work 
  • Ability to use mechanical and pneumatic processes: including cylinders and glue machines, date coders. 
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and other appropriate equipment 
  • Maintain current GMP, Safety & technical knowledge by actively participating in training. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required: 

  • 5 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic. 
  • Experience working in the food manufacturing industry. 
  • Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift if required and flexibility to work overtime and weekends occasionally.
