1st Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

This position is responsible for general facility maintenance and repair, including painting, drywall, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and small appliance work. Handles office setup, furniture relocation, preventative maintenance, and ensures the facility operates safely and efficiently. Investigates and resolves facility-related issues, assists with projects and vendor coordination, follows safety procedures, manages chemicals, and maintains clean work areas. Performs inspections to ensure quality standards, cross-trains on equipment, and completes tasks with minimal supervision, supporting overall facility operations as assigned by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Painting / Drywall Repair

  • Office Set-up - tear-down - Furniture Relocating

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs involving mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems

  • Ensure that the facility is always in operating condition

  • Interior / Exterior Lighting

  • Small Appliance Repair

  • Investigate and service any complaints or concerns involving the facility interior

  • Inspect work performed to ensure it meets the required expectations and standards set by the company and leadership

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of the facility

  • Investigate and service any complaints or concerns involving the facility

  • Assist other maintenance employees with projects and tasks

  • Assist with Outside Vendor Management / Scheduling

  • Perform Lockout Tag-out

  • Handle chemicals

  • Keep work area clean and orderly

  • Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Ability to successfully plan, and complete project work with little supervision

  • Review completed work to ensure it aligns with company standards and leadership expectations

  • Cross-train on multiple types of equipment

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation

  • Ability to become certified in Aerial lift and Fall Protection

  • Ability to become certified in Lockout Tag-out

  • Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling

  • Ability to use measuring equipment

  • Ability to safely operate an overhead JIB cranes

  • Independent self-starter requiring little to no supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail in fast-paced work environment

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments

  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Understanding of workplace safety protocols and procedures

  • Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: 2+ years facilities maintenance experience 

Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred

Physical Requirements: 

  • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings 

  • Lift up to 60 lbs.

  • Push/pull 100 lbs.

  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks

  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria 

  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises 

  • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions 

  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift 

  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift 

Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: 

  • Steel toed boots

  • Hearing Protection 

  • Safety glasses

  • Cut-proof gloves

  • Latex gloves

  • Face shield 

  • High visibility vest

  • Respirator

    • *Employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin.




Cambria’s starting salary/hourly range for this position is $22.00 -$28.00 Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
