Job Description

The KINC 1098-T Specialist role will report to the Accounting Operations Manager.  The position will oversee the 1098-T Help Desk by monitoring an email inbox, voicemail box, and live calls made to the 1098-T help line.  The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, gaining an understanding of the 1098-T form contents and why Kaplan provides the form, researching form details, and responding to student requests regarding their 1098-T tax form or student ledger card.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor the 1098-T Help Desk email and voicemail inboxes to ensure timely responses are provided to student requests

  • Provide form copies to fulfill student requests

  • Research form details and student ledger cards to respond appropriately to student requests

  • Take live calls, as time allows, to resolve student requests

  • Work with the Accounting Operations Manager for application updates, escalation of student issues, and Canadian student form requests

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • No minimum experience required

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Google Suite experience

  • Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service background preferred

  • Accounting experience a plus

The salary rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
